What happens after you ask

Here is the usual path:

• Your request goes to a provider who serves your area.
• The provider contacts you with questions about the tree and the site.
• If it makes sense, they look at the job and give you a written quote.

Timing depends on the provider and the weather. After a storm, schedules fill up, so be patient and kind to everyone involved.

What to ask a provider

A few good questions keep surprises away:

• Are you licensed and insured for tree work in California? Can I see proof?
• Does the quote list removal, hauling, and stump grinding as separate lines?
• Who handles permits, if any are needed?
• How will you protect my roof, fence, lawn, and any slab or pipes?
• What happens if the weather changes the plan?
• Can you help document damage if I need to file a claim?
